Eight Winston Cup drivers testing at Martinsville Speedway Tuesday. Testing at the .526-mile oval Wednesday were #97-Kurt Busch, #45-Kyle Petty, #0-Jason Leffler, #14-Larry Foyt, #4-Kevin LePage, and #22-Scott Wimmer in the Bill Davis Caterpillar Dodge usually driven by Ward Burton. #12-Ryan Newman tested Monday and Tuesday but will not return Wednesday. Scott Wimmer was the surprise of the day à not his speed, but that he was in the Bill Davis Dodge normally driven by Ward Burton. But he said that no one should read anything into the fact he was in his teammates car for the test, even though Burton was not onsite.
