Stewart wins at Lowe’s:

#20-Tony Stewart won the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in the Home Depot Chevy, his 2nd win of 2003 and 17th of his career and first since Pocono in June, a 16 race dry spell. #20-Stewart was the leader at halfway, which means he won the MBNA Mid-Race Leader Bonus of $10,000 PLUS the $75,000 bonus in addition to his race winnings. #12-Ryan Newman was the runner-up and led until his tires gave out when he had to pit early for their last stop and Stewart made up Newman’s eight second lead with 30 to go. The rest of the top five were #48-Johnson, #9-Elliott and #24-Gordon.
