Derrike Cope’s nieces, twins Amber and Angela Cope, 20, of Puyallup, may benefit from Cope’s good turn of fortune, getting a Winston Cup sponsor. Cope is hoping to send them to North Carolina for some testing in a Busch Grand National or Cup car. They currently race late models around the Northwest — both recording pole positions this year — and Cope is eager to help them to the next level.
