Close Race:

Only one other first-to-second margin in the history of the NASCAR Busch Series has been closer with two races to go in the season. Rob Moroso led Tommy Houston by nine points at that point in 1989. Houston reclaimed the lead in the standings with one race to go, but Moroso took the championship in the season finale at Martinsville Speedway. The 60-point spread between first-place Riggs and fifth-place Keller, teammates at ppc Racing, is the closest margin in the history of the NASCAR Busch Series with two races to go.(NASCAR PR)(11-6-2003)
