Henderson Motorsports Moves To ASA In 04:

Henderson Motorsports and rookie driver Jimmy Henderson will move to the American Speed Association for the 2004 season. The team ran a limited schedule in the NASCAR Busch Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series in 2003, but the team has chosen to run the entire ASA schedule in attempt for Henderson to collect the $50,000.00 bonus for capturing rookie-of-the-year honors. Henderson Motorsports will also attempt to run a handful of Busch events next season eyeing at least the events from Richmond International Raceway. The organization continues to meet with sponsors around the clock with hopes of securing a full sponsor for the season. Nonetheless, the team plans to run the events with or without a sponsor. The team has chosen the Chevrolet Monte Carlo as their manufacturer. A detailed press release is forthcoming following the Holiday season.(Henderson Motorsports PR)(12-23-2003)
