Chris Wimmer to Drive #63 MB Motorsports Ford Truck in 2004:

Chris Wimmer, a veteran ASA driver from Wausau, Wisconsin, has signed to drive for MB Motorsports in 2004. Chris comes from a racing family following the career path of his late uncle Larry Detjens and older brother Scott Wimmer, driver of Bill Davis’s #22 Nextel Cup car. Chris will assist the team at Daytona and Atlanta as he patiently waits for his NASCAR debut at Martinsville, Virginia on April 17th.
“This is an awesome opportunity to drive the MB Motorsports #63 Truck,” commented Chris Wimmer. “This team has been in the Truck Series a long time and know how to help a rookie driver succeed. It will be tough watching someone else drive the first two races, but we’ll be ready to go at Martinsville.”
“We are very pleased to have Chris Wimmer join our team,” stated owner & crew chief, Mike Mittler. “Chris is one of the young talented drivers we have been watching for a year or two. We plan to run Daytona and Atlanta with a veteran driver, but Chris will be working with us to be ready for his first NASCAR race at Martinsville. It will be an exciting 2004.”
