Passmore to Attempt Five Busch Series Races in 2004:

With her sights firmly set on a successful 2004 ARCA RE/MAX Series season, Christi Passmore will also look to gain experience in the NASCAR Busch Series toward the end of the 2004 season. Passmore will test her new Busch Series car during the open session at Lowes Motor Speedway in May. Passmore will make her first qualifying attempt for the October 9 event at the Kansas Speedway. Passmore will also attempt the October 15 Lowes Motor Speedway race, the October 30 Atlanta Motor Speedway race as well as the November 13 race at Darlington Raceway and November 20 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

We focused on gaining experience and confidence during the 2003 racing season, said Passmore. We knew it would take time to be capable of racing up front each week and that is the same philosophy we are taking to the NASCAR Busch Series.

Passmore will be working with her current crew chief, Bob Schacht, for her NASCAR Busch Series debut. Passmore and Schacht joined forces early in the 2003 season as Schacht, a veteran racer, was able to build confidence in Passmore with each passing weekend.

Having the chance to work with Bob (Schacht) has been a great asset, said Passmore. I have learned a lot from him and he not only works with me on the track, but also during practice sessions watching other cars and other series. Bob has experience at so many race tracks with so many different series that I know we will be successful at our goals of experience-building in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Passmore concluded the 2003 ARCA RE/MAX Series season finishing eighth in the final points standings and earning one top-five finish along with seven top-ten finishes throughout her 22 season starts. Passmore will kick off her 2004 season at the Daytona International Speedway on February 7 with the running of the Advance Discount Auto Parts 200, ARCA RE/MAX Series event.(LM Motorsports Marketing PR)(2-4-2004)
