been told that Kasey Kahne got out of his contract with Ford, the details are: Kahne’s attorneys advised him in October his contract became void after Jason Jarrett ran a third Robert Yates Ford in last September’s Cup race at Talladega. Their contention was Kahne should have been in that car, not Jarrett. So all during the winter when Kahne addressed questions about how he got out of his deal with Ford, he always responded by saying “I have fulfilled my contractual obligations.” Apparently, Kahne’s lawyers were correct and Ford figured a Judge would side with Dodge and Kahne.(2-10-2004)
