Tony Raines, a rookie of the year candidate in the Nextel Cup last season, remains without a ride after his BACE Motorsports decided not to run another season without sponsorship. Raines said he would like to remain at BACE if a sponsor is found. Otherwise, he will look at other options as they become available. BACE fields the #74 Chevy. “I want to get in a good car,” Raines said. “I believe I can win races in any of the series in NASCAR. I’ve won Truck races and I’ve come really close in Busch. We had a great operations going there, but right now it’s not operating. They’re not happy about it. I’m not happy about it. (But) you have to keep going.
