Hermie OK UPDATE:

  • Yesterday’s hourlong red flag arrived just in time for #02-Hermie Sadler. Sadler took a trip to the care center to treat burns on his shins. “It also lost power steering on Lap 80, but other than that everything’s great,” Sadler said during the break. “It’s a real shame because this is the best car we’ve had at Martinsville, but we’ll stick it out to get a good finish. It’s unrealistic to think we can win, but we’re showing we can be a top-25 team.” Sadler finished 26th in his second Nextel Cup start of the season.(Richmond Times Dispatch)(4-19-2004)
UPDATE: Sadler burnt the side of his leg, below the kneecap. It was burnt by the transmission tunnel and has mostly 2nd degree burns and one place with 3rd degree burns. On top of that, his power steering gave out, so it was a long, hot day.(4-20-2004)
