Nextel Cup regular Jeremy Mayfield will be representing new race sponsor Stater Bros. in Saturday afternoon’s Stater Bros. 300 Busch Series race. Mayfield, who won the Cup race at the speedway in 2000, will be driving the No. 6 Dodge in the 150-lap, 300-mile race scheduled to get under way at 1 p.m. [Pacific; 4 p.m. ET]. In keeping with the car’s patriotic color scheme, Stater Bros. has invited more than 1,000 military personnel to Saturday’s and Sunday’s races.
