Robby Gordon completed 20 laps in Thursday’s traditional “Carb Day” — the last practice session before Sunday’s 88th Indianapolis 500 — in his Meijer/Coca-Cola Dallara-Chevrolet before leaving for NASCAR practice and qualifying at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte. He’ll drive the Richard Childress Racing Cingular Wireless Chevy in Sunday evening’s Coca-Cola 600 after competing in his 10th Indy 500. Gordon’s best lap Thursday was 214.630mph. “We’re OK,” said Gordon. “Just doing an (oil) leak check and scrubbing in some tires today.” Gordon will be in Charlotte through late Saturday, then returns to Indianapolis that evening.
