Dick Trickle returns to the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Midwest Series, Memorial Day Monday, May 31 when the series makes its traditional holiday stop at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. Trickle helped bring the Midwest Series, then known as the ARTGO Challenge Series, to national prominence while barnstorming the Midwest for much of the late 1970’s and 80’s. Thanks to twin and triple feature programs, in 1979, Trickle once captured five series feature events within a 24-hour period. Even though he has not competed full-time on the series in over 15 years, Trickle still sits atop the Midwest Series all-time win list with 68 triumphs.(RacingOne)(5-29-2004)
