Edwards wins pole at Dover:

#99-Carl Edwards’ lap at 152.892mph led a group of eight drivers to beat the previous track qualifying record (151.764 mph set by Kurt Busch in 2000) at Dover International Speedway for the MBNA America 200. It’s the second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole of his career and first of the season. Following Edwards was #16-Jack Sprague, #62-Steve Park, #14-Rick Crawford and #23-Dave Blaney, substituting for rookie Shelby Howard. Series points leader #46-Dennis Setzer starts 15th. Park makes his best start of the season and a far cry from his qualifying efforts at speedways this season. His previous best on a track 1-mile or longer was 22nd at Daytona.(ThatsRacin.com)
