Chalk up yet another win for Carlos Contreras in the SELCA series, the premier Mexican stock car series. It’s the second in a row for Contreras, NASCAR’s first Hispanic driver (1999). This time Contreras took the checkered flag at Queretaro Mexico’s Road Course, the third event of the SELCA season. Although the favorite to win the SELCA Championship this year, he is expected to return to NASCAR later this season. Contreras intends to run a limited schedule as he prepares for what will be his first full season Busch Series campaign (2005).
