Nextel Cup competitor and Busch Series team owner/driver Robby Gordon has bought 15 acres in a business park just outside Charlotte to expand his Busch Series team, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. Plans call for a 27,000-square-foot addition to his existing 21,000-square-foot shop on 9 acres in the park, with the work expected to be completed by Jan. 1. The story in todays issue says Gordon is paying $1.7 million for the new land and says he has signed a 50-year lease on an adjoining 5 acres as well.
