GIC-Mixon Motorsports co-owner Denise Mixon spoke with Catchfence.com Saturday morning and clearly stated that the #24 Busch Series team does not have any affiliation with FitzBradshaw Racing. GIC and FitzBradshaw did unite for the Pepsi 250 in July, but that was it. “We don’t have any affiliation with the FitzBradshaw team,” said Mixon. “They are great friends of ours, but that was a one race deal. Our team has improved greatly this season, but it’s been our team not anyone else that has made that happen.” Mixon also told Catchfence.com that the team will march into the Nextel Cup Series next month at California.
