Frank Kimmel is officially the 2004 ARCA RE/MAX Championship, even with one race remaining in the season. Kimmel’s insurmountable 740 point lead assures him of his 6th career and 5th consecutive championship as he continues to dominate the ARCA RE/MAX Series in his #46 Advance Auto Parts/Pork Ford Taurus. Ironically, Kimmel celebrated the championship not from victory lane, but while standing next to a heavily damaged car that was forced out of Saturday night’s race at Salem Speedway. After winning the Pork Pole Award, Kimmel dominated most of the race, but was caught up in a collision between two lapped cars that forced him out of the race.(Frank Kimmel Site)(9-22-2004)
