Domino’s to sponsor Waltrip for three races:

Domino’s Pizza will be the primary sponsor of the #99 Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) Busch Series car. As the primary sponsor, they will be the lead brand on the car and will run three races with Michael Waltrip driving the #99 car over the 18 months. The first race will be the Sam’s Town 250 race benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis on October 23. The #99 car will feature a special paint scheme inspired by Stanton, 3-year-old patient at St. Jude, and his 13 year-old brother Hayden. Domino’s and Michael Waltrip Racing have pledged to raise money for St. Jude, one of the world’s premier centers for research and treatment of catastrophic diseases in children, and Domino’s chosen philanthropic partner through 2006. Following the race, Domino’s and MWR will sell die-cast cars with the winning paint scheme at the tracks and online at www.dominos.com All royalties from the selling price of the merchandise will be donated to St. Jude. Additionally, Domino’s and MWR will auction several autographed items on e-Bay with proceeds going to St. Jude. Domino’s will also test a match box-size car premium of our design in four markets to determine if a promotion is another viable way to raise funds for St. Jude in the future. The remaining two primary sponsorships will be run during the 2005 season. Domino’s first race will be in Las Vegas to support our motorsports advertising campaign. The remaining race will run under the lights at Richmond in September.(PR)(10-15-2004)
