Reutimann released from the hospital:

David Reutimann was evaluated and released from Harris Methodist Hospital Saturday evening after colliding with the Texas Motor Speedway retaining wall on the front-stretch of the 1.5-mile tri-oval in the #17 NTN Bearings Toyota Tundra fielded by Darrell Waltrip Motorsports. “After being examined last night, I was released and I was able to fly home with the team,” said Reutimann. “Another truck got loose and ran into me around lap 103 and there was nothing I could do. I really appreciate everyone’s concern and I have a lot of people to thank in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage. I’m looking forward to feeling 100% and racing my boss at Martinsville this weekend.”(Waltrip Motorsports PR)(10-17-2004)
