Miller to make debut at Phoenix:

Joey Miller will climb another rung on the racing ladder this week when he makes his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Phoenix International Raceway (AZ) in the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200. Miller will pilot the #98 Eagle Creek Aviation Services/Country Joe Racing Dodge on Saturday for Hagans Racing of Indianapolis, IN. Hagans Racing has already announced that Miller will run a full season of ARCA competition for the team in 2005. Miller ran two ARCA races in 2004 with Hagans Racing and owner Matt Hagans. The team tested out at Phoenix a couple of weeks ago and the results look promising. Now three-time ASA champion Kevin Cywinski, Miller’s teammate at Country Joe Racing, will be in Phoenix serving as Miller’s mentor. Miller was originally scheduled to compete in the NASCAR Southwest Series race at Phoenix on the same weekend, but dropped that race in
favor of focusing more on the Busch program. The Busch car was pretty similar to the ARCA car, said Miller. It had a little less power, but it wasnt odd or different in any real way. I think I’ll be able to use what I’ve already learned and what Kevin and my crew chief Patrick Donohue can teach me to be successful this weekend. At the same time the Minnesota native makes his Busch Series debut, so will the Hagans Racing new website.
