Officials of Performance Racing Network [PRN – www.goprn.com] announced that two of the network’s most popular radio programs, “The ALLTEL Pit Reporters” and “PRN’s Sunday Drive,” have been renewed for the 2005 season.
“The ALLTEL Pit Reporters,” hosted by veteran broadcaster Brett McMillan, returns Wednesday, Feb. 23, for its sixth year while “PRN’s Sunday Drive” kicks off its sophomore season Sunday, Feb. 20, following the Daytona 500.
“The ALLTEL Pit Reporters” is the original media round-table program with members of the Fourth Estate tackling motorsports’ toughest issues. “We take on all the major issues surrounding racing, but we never let the show become a shouting match,” McMillan noted. “PRN’s Sunday Drive,” co-hosted by John Kernan and Stephanie Durner, wraps up the weekend’s motorsports activities each Sunday evening. Kernan and Durner offer fans an outlet to discuss a variety of topics while analyzing the weekend’s racing action with a popular NASCAR driver. Last year’s guests included John Andretti, David Green and Ron Hornaday. “PRN’s Sunday Drive” airs each Sunday from 8:00 to 10:00pm/et and fans can participate by calling 1-800-771-8255.
“‘The ALLTEL Pit Reporters’ and ‘PRN’s Sunday Drive’ represent the best in radio motorsports journalism,” said Doug Rice, vice president and general manager of PRN. “We are thrilled to have such a strong lineup for race fans across the country.” PRN continues to be an industry innovator. It is the only radio network to broadcast a NASCAR race in Spanish and recently earned a National Motorsports Press Association award for its youth broadcast of the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 300 presented by Lowe’s at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. PRN broadcasts 10 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races, eight Busch Series events and produces “Fast Talk with Benny Parsons,” “The ALLTEL Pit Reporters,” “PRN’s Sunday Drive” and “zMAX Racing Country.” Additional information about PRN and its broadcast lineup can be obtained by visiting www.goprn.com.(LMS PR)(2-19-2005)
