NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series crew chief Steven Kuykendall has been fined $2,000 while Richard Gay and Jeffrey Hensley have been fined $500 for rule violations that occurred during last weekends NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at California Speedway, NASCAR officials announced today.
Kuykendall, crew chief for the #21 Chevrolet of driver Mike Harmon, violated Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-CC of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rule book, because of an unapproved third gear transmission ratio.
Gay, crew chief for the #10 Ford of driver Terry Cook, violated Sections12-4-A and 12-4-Q (truck, truck parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules), because of unapproved jack bolts.
Hensley, crew chief for the #5 Toyota of driver Mike Skinner, violated Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q, because of an unapproved fuel filler neck. The infractions were discovered during opening day inspection.(NASCAR PR)(3-1-2005)
