Skinner wins pole, breaks track record at Lowe’s:

#5-Mike Skinner won the pole with a new Truck qualifying record for the Friday night Quaker Steak & Lube 200 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway with a lap of 183.051mph and will be joined on the front row by #14-Rick Crawford, followed by #15-Kyle Busch, #12-Robert Huffman and #22-Bill Lester. 29 of the 36 starters beat the track record which stood at 178.577mph set in 2003 by David Starr. Points leader, #04-Bobby Hamilton will start 23rd. #47-Tony Stewart will start 19th. Missing the race were: 06-Jimmy Kite; 8-Deborah Renshaw; #31-Nicholas Tucker; #28-David Ragan; #24-Wayne Edwards; and #21-Mike Harmon.
