The #67 Smith Brothers Motorsports team ran into some misfortune early in 2005, but with renewed dedication they’re anxious to get back to the track in June. After missing the Daytona and Las Vegas races, the Pennsylvania-based team made major changes to their fleet. A switch to Dodge and Mike Ege Racing Engines required quite a bit of time in the shop over the past two months. After a test at Daytona for driver/owner C.W. Smith, the team will put 41-year-old Wisconsin native Bryan Reffner behind the wheel for the June 25Milwaukee race. Reffner will also drive at Gateway. NASCAR veteran Johnny Benson will take over for the Michigan, Lowe’s, Texas, and Homestead races while the seat remains unfilled at this time for Dover.(bryanreffner.com)(6-21-2005)
