Points leader #48-Jimmie Johnson will start 12th. #49-Ken Schrader and #45-Kyle Petty start 21st and 42nd respectfully, set by owners points. #37-Kevin Lepage gets the final spot in the field, being the slowest of the 8 non-top 35 teams in owners points to make the race. #00-Carl Long qualified for the race [starts 35th], but wrecked on his 2nd qualifying lap and will go to a backup car [from a Dodge to a Chevy]. Missing the race were #92-Joey McCarthy, #52-Derrike Cope, #75-Wayne Anderson and #92-Hermie Sadler.
