BGNRacing.com is hearing that Harold Holly will take over as crew chief next week on the #44 car driven by Justin Labonte.(7-15-2005)
UPDATE: Labonte/Haas Racing announced today the appointment of Harold Holly as crew chief of the #44 U.S. Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet beginning this weekend at the NASCAR Busch Series event at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Bryant Frazier, who had been serving as the teams crew chief, will remain with the organization serving as project development and quality control manager. Holly is returning to the NASCAR Busch Series after his most recent role took him to the #32 PPI Racing team in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. Im really excited to be joining this team, said Holly. Im thrilled to be associated with Gene Haas, Justin and Terry Labonte, and Hendrick Motorsports. Im looking forward to working with this team; Gene built a strong organization and the addition of the Labontes has only made it better. The opportunity to work with Bill Ingle again weighed heavily in my decision. I began working with Bill when I first started in this business and I like having the opportunity to work with him again. Labonte/Haas Racing has made me feel really welcome and I hope that the combination that we have here we will enable us to have an efficient program and get us into victory lane.(Labonte/HAAS Racing PR)(7-18-2005)
