A new force in the highly popular ARCA RE/MAX Series has been formed. A Busch driver , a former Winston Cup car owner, an ARCA driver and a veteran ARCA, Winston and Nextel Cup crewman have formed Bushwacker Motorsports,Inc. Mike Harmon, George Pywowariw, Art Seeger and Steve Herbert have joined together to run 4 races in ARCA this season and the full season next year. Harmon will prep the car in Mooresville,NC, George will be the team manager, Steve will be the crew chief and Art is the driver. The team is entered in the Hantz Group 200 at Michigan International peedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. The team is using the #16 for this race. At Pocono Art qualified 23rd and finished 19th in the July ARCA race. Art is excited about this opportunity. He is going for a top 10 finish. “the engine we used at Pocono was great and it has just been refreshed and has a lot of power” stated Art. The team is planning on a good starting position by qualifying on speed. Art’s racing career dates back to 1979 as a crewman for a SCCA team. He has run 130 races for 36 wins (28%), 73 top 5’s (56%), 92 top 10’s (71%). He has driven NASCAR late models, Nascar Daytona Dash, small block modified,NASCAR Busch North and ARCA Re/max series. Mike is a veteran of both Nascar Busch and Nascar Craftsman Truck series. He walked away from a bad wreck at Bristol in 2002. Currently Mike is in the top 10 in points in the ARCA Re/max series. Steve has worked in Winston Cup, ARCA and this year in Nextel Cup. He is an experienced over the wall crewman who was the focus of a recent article on laidbackracing.com written by Gino Wismer titled “Inside Bushwacker Motorsports”.
