#5-Mike Skinner won the Cheerios Betty Crocker 200 at Richmond International Raceway for his 2nd wins of the season and in a row and 18th of his career. #30-Todd Bodine was 2nd, followed by #47-Kevin Harvick, #1-Ted Musgrave and #13-Tracy Hines. Points leader, #46-Dennis Setzer had tire problems that damaged the truck and he finished 34th, droping his points led over Musgrave from 143 to 49. Pole sitter #75-David Starr never led a lap, wrecked late and finished 21st. There were a record 12 cautions for 57 laps. There 8 lead changes among 5 drivers.
