Cingular Wireless, primary sponsor of the Richard Childress Racing #31 Cingular Wireless Chevy driven by Jeff Burton, is awarding Paul Carignan a one-of-a-kind #31 Cingular-branded Chevy Monte Carlo as part of its Virtual Crew Chief sweepstakes. Carignan will be presented with the specially-designed car Saturday, September 10, at the Libbie Place Cingular Store in Richmond [5601 W. Broad St. (804) 426-7130] before the Cup race later that evening. The Cingular Virtual Crew Chief sweepstakes ran on the FOX network during race broadcasts between February and June. The interactive, consumer-focused promotion graphically prompted viewers three times during each race to text message a response to a particular race-related question. Carignan, who hails from Alexandria, Va., was randomly selected among the tens of thousands of viewers who sent more than 7 million total text messages during the five-month program. He will be presented with the bright orange 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at a special ceremony at the Libbie Place Cingular store location in Richmond at 2:00pm/et Saturday. This is the third consecutive year that Cingular has implemented the Virtual Crew Chief platform on race telecasts on FOX. On the track, Cingular is in its fourth year as a primary sponsor of the Richard Childress Racing #31 Cingular Wireless Chevy driven by Burton. This season, Burton is 21st in the Cup point standings with two Top 5 finishes, three Top 10 finishes and nine Top 15s.(Career Sports & Entertainment PR)(9-9-2005)
