Qualifying Notes:

This is Matt Crafton’s first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Bud Pole. His best previous start, second, came at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 19, 2004. Crafton is the 13th different Bud Pole winner of the season. The Bud Pole winner has gone on to win the Sylvania 200 in two of the past four years. The last to win from the pole was Jimmy Spencer in 2003. The Craftsman Win from the Pole bonus is worth $8,000. The last driver to win from the pole in 2005 was Dennis Setzer at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Brandon Whitt will start second – his second time to qualify for the front row. Whitt won from the Bud Pole at Memphis Motorsports Park. The top two qualifiers broke the existing track record of 29.637 seconds, 128.515 mph set Sept. 18, 2004 by Jack Sprague.(NASCAR Statisical Services)(9-17-2005)
