The #76 American Legion Freedom Car, driven by Jerick Johnson in the NASCAR Busch Series, will make its debut in the Saturday, Sept. 24, Dover 200. The Team Johnson Legion Racing Team plans to compete in a few NASCAR Busch Series races for the remainder of the 2005 season, with hopes of running a full Busch schedule in 2006. Jerick Johnson and the #76 team tested at Dover International Speedway on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005. “These are exciting times for the American Legion,” said Department of Delaware American Legion First Vice Commander Donald White. White has been appointed as the Delaware Director and liaison for Team Johnson and owner Jack Johnson. Mr. Thomas Bock, National Commander of the American Legion, will also be in attendance for the Dover 200 race on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005. “We hope that many Delaware Legionnaires will attend the Dover 200 Busch series race, and support the debut efforts of the #76 Freedom Car and Team Johnson.”(PR)(9-20-2005)
