2nd Harvick team in 2006:

Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced a partnership with Goodlettsville, Tenn., based Dollar General Corp. for the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series season. Rookie-of-the-Year contender Burney Lamar will drive the #77 Dollar General Chevy in all 35 events on the Busch Series schedule. Lamar, a 25 year-old native of West Sacramento, Calif., currently competes on a limited schedule for KHI in the NASCAR West Series, Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series. Lamar also competes full-time in the NASCAR Elite Division Southwest Series. In addition to Lamar’s #77 entry, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick will also compete in Dollar General Chevrolets for KHI. Stewart and Harvick will drive two Busch Series events each in the #33 Dollar General Chevrolet. Lamar’s Dollar General car will be one of two full-time Busch teams that KHI will field in 2006. In addition to Lamar’s car, KHI will field the #33 Chevrolet, which will feature multiple sponsors and drivers. Dollar General will enter into its second year as a primary sponsor in the NASCAR Busch Series. It is the only major sports sponsorship in the company’s 66-year history. “We’re pleased to announce our partnership with Kevin Harvick, who has established a winning record both as a driver and as a team owner,” said Rick McNeely, Dollar General vice president of merchandising. “Many of our customers and employees are already big NASCAR fans, and we believe they’ll be enthusiastic fans of Burney Lamar, one of NASCAR’s most-talked about up-and-coming young drivers.”(Kevin Harvick Inc.
