Tim Sauter will drive the #36 Chevrolet for DCT Motorsports in Saturday’s NASCAR Busch Series season finale, DCT owner John McGill announced today. Lester Buildings, a Minnesota-based company that manufactures engineered, wood frame building systems over the eastern two-thirds of the nation, will sponsor the team in the race. “We all know Tim Sauter can drive a race car, and we’re going to give him the best we can at Homestead,” (crew chief) Ricky Pearson said. “A driver brand new to a race team, especially for the final race of the season, doesn’t make things easy but our guys are ready for it. We’re looking forward to a good weekend.” Sauter has 82 career starts in Busch Series and, in his own full season, finished 13th with seven top-10 finish in 2002. He has also started races in the Nextel Cup and Truck Series. DCT Motorsports is talking with companies regarding sponsorship for the 2006 season and beyond. McGill has developed sponsorship packages that could incorporate a full season or blocks of races. Utilizing his own business and marketing acumen, he brings creative and fresh approaches not just to team sponsorship itself but areas such as hospitality, cross-promotions and business-to-business possibilities.(Williams Company)(11-17-2005)
