Yates to Sign Diercks UPDATE to Drive for ML Motorsports:

Davenport [Iowa] racer Justin Diercks has rounded a big turn in his bid to catch a Nextel Cup ride. The two-time defending NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Midwest point series champion, Diercks will sign a contract with Robert Yates Racing in the coming days, Yates team general manager Eddie DHondt said Thursday. The Yates team has three Nextel Cup cars, but DHondt said Diercks likely would spend the coming year driving on the ARCA circuit, the equivalent of Double-A baseball. DHondt said Diercks also could earn some starts in the Triple-A Busch Cup series, which is raced at NASCAR tracks in conjunction with Nextel Cup events.(Quad-City Times)(12-23-2005)
UPDATE Diercks to Drive for ML Motorsports: ML Motorsports has collaborated with Robert Yates Racing, who signed Justin Diercks last month for the 2006 season. After entering in a few Busch Series races in the later part of the 2005 season, ML Motorsports began looking for opportunities of experienced support in the series to help them obtain the best possible information to improve their program. ML Motorsports is tentatively planning its 2006 season carefully, kicking the season of with an ARCA RE/MAX Series race with plans to ease into the NASCAR Busch Series.(MLM PR)(1-26-2006)
