#7-Robby Gordons average finish since switching to DEI engines at Phoenix International Raceway last fall is 11.7. The proof is in the numbers: an eighth-place performance at Phoenix, a 14th-place finish in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway and skirting the top-10 in 13th at the Daytona 500. Gordons in good company. Only #12-Ryan Newman (7.3), #20-Tony Stewart (8.0), #6-Mark Martin (9.3), #42-Casey Mears (9.7) and #16-Greg Biffle (11.3) have higher average finishes over the same [3 races] stretch.(RGM PR)(2-24-2006)
