Greenwell Shifting From RBIs To RPMs:

Mike Greenwell, a former Boston Red Sox all-star outfielder from Fort Myers, will make his Truck Series debut Saturday at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Ohio. Greenwell will drive a Chevrolet for Bobby Dotter’s Green Light Racing. It’s a team that occasionally will field drivers who can bring their own funding or sponsorship. Greenwell’s hope is that by running Mansfield and two other races – Memphis in July and Loudon, N.H., in September – he’ll attract sponsorship to race full time. Greenwell spent 12 seasons with the Red Sox. He batted .303, hit 130 home runs, made the all-star team twice and finished second to Jose Canseco for the 1988 American League MVP award.(www.tbo.com)(5-24-2006)
