#60-Boris Said upset the field and won the Budweiser Pole for the Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway for his 2nd career pole and 1st ever on an oval, with a speed of 186.143mph. Starting 2nd is #20-Tony Stewart, followed by #40-David Stremme, #24-Jeff Grodon and #01-Joe Nemechek. #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start deep in the field at 36th. The non-top 35 teams that made the race were: #60-Said [pole], #40-Stremme, #32-Kvapil, #55-Waltrip, #27-Shelmerdine, #00-Sadler and #61-Chaffin.
