In preparation for his “Wally’s World” debut in Chicago this coming week, as well as his NASCAR on NBC duties, Wally Dallenbach wheeled his Vortex Valve/Bass Pro-sponsored open wheel racer to a class win at the 84th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (www.ppihc.com), the second oldest race in the United States. Brother Paul came in second in class, a mere two seconds behind Wally. Japan’s Nubohiro Tajima and Leonard Vahsholtz were deemed overall co-champions of the “Race to the Clouds”. Dallenbach owns the television rights to the Hill Climb, which will air on The Outdoor Channel on Saturday, September 23.(Wally Dallenbach PR)(7-6-2006)
