#24-Jeff Gordon won the USG Sheetrock 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, for his 2nd win of the year, 75th of his career [one behind Dale Earnhardt] and his first ever win at Chicago. So Gordon has now won at all the track Cup run at BUT Phoenix, Texas and Homestead. The win is a bit controversial as with two laps to go, Gordon got a run on #17-Kenseth who was leading, Kenseth slowed a bit in the turn and Gordon got into Kenseth, causing Kenseth to spin around. Kenseth finished 21st after running out of fuel anyway and then getting caught up in a wreck at the finish of the race. #31-Jeff Burton, the pole sitter, finished 2nd, followed by #5-Kyle Busch, #29-Kevin Harvick and #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. With Kenseth’s wreck and finish, #48-Jimmie Johnson maintains the points, up to 48 points over Kenseth. #20-Tony Stewart was running 3rd when he ran out of gas on the final restart. There were 18 lead changes among 10 drivers and 8 cautions for 34 laps.
