John Andretti was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the Goodys 250 at Martinsville. Andretti scored a seventh-place finish, his third top-10 of the 2006 season, and took top rookie honors for the sixth time in 21 races. Andretti trails leading Raybestos Rookie Burney Lamar by just two points (172-170) entering the Busch Silver Celebration 250 at Gateway.
