Robby talking to other teams about working together:

#7-Robby Gordon confirmed informal discussions with fellow single-car entries #96 Hall of Fame Racing, co-owned by former NFL quarterbacks Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach, and #32 PPI Motorsports, owned by Cal Wells, who like Gordon came with a background in Indy-car and off-road racing. Gordon also has been linked to Robert Yates’ Ford [#38 & #88] team, which is in rebuilding mode, and Toyota, which is coming to Nextel Cup next year. “It would be easier for us not to have to change our whole fleet, but we’ve been known to do things that aren’t the easiest,” Gordon said. “If we’re not looking at every opportunity, then we’re not doing our jobs.” Gordon’s plans include returns to the world’s two most grueling off-road races, the Baja 1000 in the Mexican desert in November and the 6,500-mile Dakar Rally in January. He also hinted that he probably hasn’t run his last Indianapolis 500.(Indianapolis Star)(8-13-2006)
