Dominos Pizza appear as the primary Nextel Cup Series team sponsor of racing veteran, #55-Michael Waltrip August 18-20 at Michigan International Speedway. Waltrip will be the first driver to compete in a Dominos Pizza Nextel Cup car [since the late 1980’s] when he takes the wheel of the #55 Dominos Pizza vehicle next Friday [in practice and qualifying]. As part of its 2006 motorsports program, Dominos Pizza has been, and will continue to be an associate sponsor of Waltrips #55 Nextel Cup Series team. Waltrip previously carried the Dominos Pizza banner as his primary sponsor of his #99 Busch Series team twice in 2005 and once in 2004. Dominos partnerships extend to Michigan International Speedway, branded MIS Delivered by Dominos Pizza and will feature fan entertainment, displays, signage, product sampling and guest hospitality throughout the race weekend. UPDATE: Waltrip will also act as at-track spokesperson for Dominos as it announces a new dessert item Brownie Squares to its menu. Dominos will give out approximately 60,000 Brownie Squares to NASCAR teams and race fans attending this weekends race activities.
