After going “2 for 2” Bill Lester will miss the Sony HD 500 at California Speedway. Lester’s car came around while coming off turn four during qualifying, eliminating him from making the racing. While no official comment has been released by Bill Davis Racing, Waste Management (Lester’s current Nextel Cup sponsor) or Championship Group (the company who developed Lester’s NNC program with BDR), it is expected that Lester will attempt at least one additional NNC start this season, at a to-be-determined venue.(motorsport.com)(9-3-2006)
