Benny is back at Dover; Wally’s World:

Benny Parsons, who missed TNT’s New Hampshire broadcast, was back behind the microphone Monday night at Performance Racing Network hosting his weekly “Fast Talk” radio program. Benny, who is undergoing treatments for lung cancer, told listeners “I feel pretty good now. I was tanked out on Friday. I went to see the doctor before my trip to Loudon and my blood levels were just way down so they said you need to go to the hospital and get some intensive care.” As for this weekend Benny is good to go saying “Right now I don’t see any reason why I can’t be in Dover. I don’t have any treatments this week. My radiation is now behind me I don’t do any chemotherapy until next week, so this week I’m clean. I feel I’ll get better each day as the week progresses and by Saturday I’ll be ready to go to Dover and call the race Sunday.” The great news is Parsons’ tumor continues to shrink. “We talked about it two or three weeks ago that I had an 80-percent reduction in the tumor to where it started. Talking to my doctors they feel like we’re going to be okay in this deal and the next time I have a scan we’re going to be okay. If not, I’ll be awfully disappointed.”(PRN’s “Fast Talk with Benny Parsons” radio show)
