former Cup and Busch Series driver, Roy ‘Buckshot’ Jones has entered a #00 in the 39th annual Snow Ball Derby for Mid-South Motorsports owned by Skoot Rice.(Buckshot Jones Group MSN), other drivers with NASCAR connections include Dave Mader, III, Stanley Smith, Butch Miller, Steve Wallace and Travis Kittleson. The 39th Snowball Derby runs from Wednesday, November 29 through Sunday, December 3.(11-8-2006)
AND Steve Wallace, winner of the 2004 Snowball Derby, is bringing a part of the past to this years race. The son of retired NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace will drive for Ritchie Wauters and have a special sponsor – Southland Fire & Equipment Company. The Baton Rouge, La-company sponsored Rusty during 1980s when he raced in the Snowball Derby. This years start will mark Wallaces fourth derby start. Last year, he finished second to Pensacola’s Eddie Mercer.(RWI PR)
