#77-Brendan Gaughan told Sirius Speedway host Dave Moody Tuesday that his new deal with Chevrolet is largely performance-based. “Damn right, “he said. “We’ve got to win races and championships to get paid, and the package they’ve offered will allow us to do that. My father and I have never been afraid to put our money where our mouth is, and while this deal is a little unusual, I’m happy with it. I’m not afraid to work hard.” Gaughan said his team is working hard to get ready for the start of the season. “My guys have been working awfully hard for the last three weeks. We have four Chevy Silverados set to go already, and A.J. Henry is hanging bodies right now. They look great; the new nose is laid back like a car. We have bought a few Chevrolet engines to get up and running, and I’m as excited about the 2007 season as I have ever been.”(Sirius Speedway Radio Show)(1-2-2007)
