#9-Kasey Kahne won the Budweiser Pole for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a speed of 184.856mph for his 1st pole of 2007 and 13th of his career. The speed is a new track record for the re-configured speedway [the old record was also held by Kahne at 174.904mph in 2004] The rest of the top-10 are #40-Stremme, #19-Sadler, #42-Montoya, #31-Burton [best Chevy], #10-Riggs, #41-Sorenson, #14-Marlin, #13-Nemechek and #2-Busch. #22-Blaney was the best Toyota and will start 11th [only two Toyota’s made the race] and the best Ford qualifier was #99-Edwards who will start 13th. The non-top 35 teams that made the race were: #14-Marlin, #13-Nemechek, #78-KWallace, #15-Menard, #4-Burton, #80-Almirola, #70-Sauter and #44-Jarrett [using a past champions provisional].
