Few Changes Expected in Busch Series Next Year:

Other than a new sponsor for the series as Anheuser-Busch bows out at season’s end after 26 years, Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR’s vice president of racing operations, says no big changes are in store for the second-tier series. “We’ve discussed (limiting Cup drivers in Busch), but NASCAR has always been open for all,” O’Donnell says. “That’s something that we pride ourselves on. If you bring your car or truck and get through inspection, we’re going to allow you to race.” Andrew Giangola, NASCAR’s director of business communications, says the announcement of a new title sponsor should occur before the end of the season, although he declined to name the finalists.(USA Today)(7-30-2007)
