Petty breaks hand:

Austin Petty co-hosted “The Morning Drive” today on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio with Marty Snider. During the show, Austin revealed that his father, Kyle, injured his hand this weekend at Watkins Glen. Austin Petty: “I’m not going to disclose all the information but there was an incident between his fist and a wall and a broken bone.” Marty Snider: “Is he OK? [Is] everything alright?” Austin Petty: “I think so. I think they may have to do a little surgery on it on Tuesday. I don’t know the full details.” Marty Snider: “He’ll be OK to race at Michigan though, right?” Austin Petty: “That’s what I’m hearing.” “The Morning Drive” airs every weekday (7 – 11am/et) exclusively on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, channel 128. Tony Stewart Live, which Stewart hosts with pit road reporter Matt Yocum, will air live tonight, August 13, from 8:00-10:00pm/et exclusively on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio channel 128. Stewart will talk about his third victory of the season live tonight.(8-13-2007) MORE: Kyle Petty, driver of the #45 Wells Fargo/Marathon/Tire Kingdom Dodge suffered a broken hand as a result of hitting the butt of his hand on a door inside the hauler after a lap 69 incident in Sunday’s Centurion Boats at The Glen at the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International road course. Petty was treated and released in the infield care center during Sunday’s event.
